Elmhurst Swim Club sponsors a swim team which competes with other private clubs in the South Hills area. The swim team is a terrific way to improve your swimming skills in a fun and competitive atmosphere!

Things You Should Know
For the Swimmer
- Swimmers must be at least 6 years of age to participate but may not be older than 18 years of age.
- Swimmers must be able to swim at least one length of the pool unassisted.
- Daily practices are recommended. Practices typically begin in early June on weekdays from 10 to 11 a.m. (During the week of swimming lessons, they will be one hour earlier). Practices consist of stroke work (all strokes), laps, dive-ins, and on some days, fun games! Remember: the more you practice, the faster you will swim, and the better swimmer you will be!
- Meets are typically on Tuesday or Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m. and last about an hour.
- It’s important to participate in all home and away meets. However, if you aren’t available to participate in a meet, please let the coach know right away as it will affect the final lineup.
Meets
- Elmhurst participates in the South Hills Swim Club. Participating pools include: Bower Hill Swim Club, Keystone Oaks Aqua Club, Rose Garden, and Woodland Hills Swim Club.
- Elmhurst also participates in the Relay Invitational, Odd Age Meet, 10 & Unders, and Champs. The dates, locations, and times vary from year to year, so be sure to check the current season schedule.
